Frequently asked questions

Quick answers to the questions we hear most about difficulty, gear, and booking.

Trips

How do I know which difficulty is right for me?

Easy trips need no experience. Moderate trips include some climbing or open water and suit people who exercise regularly. Challenging trips are long days on steep terrain for people who have done similar trips before.

How long do trips last?

Between 2 and 8 hours depending on the activity. Each activity page lists its duration.

What happens if it rains?

Light rain does not cancel a trip. For storms or high wind, we cancel and offer a new date or a full refund.

Gear

Do I need my own kayak or gear?

No. We provide kayaks, paddles, and life jackets. You bring clothing, water, and food.

What should I wear?

Layers and closed-toe shoes with grip. See the preparation guide for a full packing list.

Booking

How do I book?

Send a request through the Request a Trip form. A coordinator confirms by email within one business day.

Can kids come?

Kids 8 and up can join easy trips with an adult. Moderate and challenging trips are 14 and up.

What is the cancellation policy?

Cancel 48 hours or more before your trip for a full refund. Later cancellations get credit toward a future trip.
